Cory Jameson aka CJ was the kind of guy your mother warned you about.

Well the kind of guy, the mothers warned their sons about.

He wasn’t that bad, but he certainly had been in trouble from time to time and there was his enlistment in the Navy to avoid jail.

Frustrated, the sole remaining member of his family, his Gram, made out her will to give CJ one last chance at redemption.

It would be his ‘Penance’ and if he behaved himself, good things could happen.

However serving his Penance didn’t stop his life from taking some unexpected twists and turns especially when Skyler Johnson, the city’s NFL team quarterback as well as bachelor extraordinaire came in to purchase a book.

Settling in Savannah

Things are really clicking in Gil Walker’s adopted town of Savannah.

That is when at a bank to negotiate with the owners the bank is robbed.

And Gil is coming to an understanding with a guy he’s been attracted to for years named Matt Stone, although he didn’t account for Stone’s viewpoint.

So he’s done with relationships, that is until Detective Jim Morrison of the

Savannah police department comes around to check up on Gil.

So it looks like Gil Walker isn’t quite as settled as he thought he was.
